About The Gallery

Laura and I moved to Lancaster more than 30 years ago. The late 70s' were a time of excitment as the city of Lancaster was in the midst of what turned out to be a short lived renaissance. Place Marie, The Hoar House, P.J.Matthews , the avant garde Market Street Theater, The Hager Arcade. These were but a few of the dynamic entities that teased the hopes of the city.

Now, with a new enegy taking shape ,we decided it was time to return and have a presence and ,hopefully, impact positivly in this 'New Lancaster". While we've made Lancaster county our home these past years we've spent them traveling, doing exciting research and selling Laura's art. Lancaster county became our rest stop. We both feel it is time to change the transient nature of our lifestyle and become active participants in this vibrent 21st century Lancaster.

Laura has garner a great deal of recognition for her portrayel of nature. She has been "Featured Artist" at a number of very prestigious art shows. She's appeared on the cover of both regional and national publications and has worked closly over the years with conservation organizations, both national and international, to help preserve our natural heritage. Her paintings are in museums and collections around the world.

Our gallery is not only a celebration of the world we all share but a tribute to those things in nature that give us pleasure but sadly are disappearing at an alarmining rate. We hope that everyone visiting our gallery will appreciate Laura's unique gift in bringing the viewer in touch with the soul and the character of the animals and places she paints.

Our sign and logo incorporates a painting called "Green Pastures". Like much of her work, the painting is contemplative. It reminded me of the 23rd Psalm, hence the name. I'm still waiting for "Beside Still Waters". Please stop in and say hello.

We'd love to meet you.
